City-Amyway Cooperates to Combat Malnutrition Disease

Jakarta Health Dept and Amway signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for toddler nutritional quality improvement program in Jakarta. It is as an effort to reduce cases of malnutrition in children under five.

Dengan kerjasama ini kita harapkan anak mendapatkan nutrisi yang cukup, pertumbuhan fisiknya baik dan bisa jadi pemimpin di masa depan

Assistant of Regional Secretary for Community Welfare Section, Fatahillah said nutritional quality improvement is very important to protect children from malnutrition.

"Through this cooperation, we hope children get adequate nutrition, good physical growth and can be a leader in the future," he hoped, Thursday (3/31).

Headmen Asked to Be Active in Anticipation of Malnutrition Case

According to him, many programs from Health Dept  to improve the people nutrition. It is expected could protect Indonesian children from malnutrition disease.

PT Amway Indonesia President, Koen Verheyen disclosed, from WHO data every year, as many as 45 percent out of 7 million children are died due to malnutrition disease.

"Malnutrition can affect the lives of children in the future, where its growth is slow until the immune system is weak until performance and its productivity is affected," he stated.
